Under the exchange agreement with the Japan Center for Michigan Universities, we received a student of Michigan State University for hands-on training in our hospital nursing section.

He learned Japanese language intensively at the Japan Center for Michigan Universities located in Hikone, and then came to Shiga University of Medical Science to attend lectures given by the nursing department on June 8 and 9, 2009, and received training at the University Hospital from August 3 to 7, 2009.

During nursing training at our hospital, he observed nursing practices in order to learn and understand concretely about cultural differences between nursing systems in Japan and the USA.
