Shiga University of Medical Science strives
to serve the health and social welfare of the
community by cultivating trustworthy medical
professionals with the best possible training,
and by promoting advanced research in
medicine and nursing.
PHILOSOPHY
The principles of Shiga University of Medical
Science are based on Japan's Fundamental
Law of Education, the School Education Law
and the National University Corporation Law.
We provide students with a broad education
in the liberal arts along with highly advanced
professional skills in the fields of medicine and
nursing. Our goal is to encourage a faithful
sense of medical ethics and a spirit of scientific
inquiry. This is to contribute to the development
of medicine and nursing, and to the welfare of
the community.
