Shiga University of Medical Science, this year again,
accepted four trainees from Niger and Madagascar for 5-day training, in twice,
from Aug. 27 till Aug. 31, 2007 and from Sept.3 till Sept. 7, 2007, under the
JICA regional training program, “Clinical Testing Skills Course for Francophone
African Laboratory Technologists.” This was our second acceptance following last
year’s.
This training was commissioned by the Japan International Medical
Technology Foundation entrusted by JICA. This is part of the Official Development
Assistance (ODA) program. The objective is to strengthen human resource development
in clinical testing in Francophone African countries through providing lectures
and technical trainings concerning especially the tests for bacterial infectious
diseases to their clinical laboratory technologists.
