Training at SUMS by Two Clinical Technologists from Benin |

 Shiga University of Medical Science, this year again, accepted two trainees from Benin for 5-day training, from Oct. 6 till Oct. 10, 2008 under the JICA regional training program, “Clinical Testing Skills Course for Francophone African Laboratory Technologists.” This was our third such course, following last year’s.
|
|
 This training was commissioned by the Japan International Medical Technology Foundation entrusted by JICA. This is part of the Official Development Assistance (ODA) program. The objective is to strengthen human resource development in clinical testing in Francophone African countries through providing lectures and technical training especially concerning tests for bacterial infectious diseases, to clinical laboratory technologists. |

I marveled at the majestic environments of the Shiga University of Medical Science and the medical microbiology laboratory. I am glad to have met the hospitable and openhearted stuff, including the president, the director and all members of the laboratory. I greatly appreciate their hospitality and service. |

We were impressed by the authorities and staff of the University Hospital of SUMS.
