We received the delegation from Harbin Medical University on May 13, 2010. The delegation consisted of five executive officers headed by President, Yang Bao Feng. Shiga University of Medical Science and Harbin Medical University first entered into a cooperative agreement in 2001, and since then we have developed our sister-university relationship through exchanges of students and researchers.

During their three-day visit, they toured various facilities at SUMS including the Biomedical MR Science Center, the Molecular Neuroscience Research Center and the University Hospital. To experience some of the local culture, they visited the Miho museum, and Shigaraki to try their hand at making pottery. It was a great opportunity for both the universities to deepen further our friendship and cooperative relationship.
