On December 24, 2008, the 2nd “Life in Otsu” class was held at the International House. It was hosted by Otsu City for the local residents from abroad.

Under the theme of “In Case of Major Disasters / Emergency Situations”, firefighters gave us a lecture, conducted fire drills and provided a chance to experience a simulated Level 7 earthquake.

This experience-based class was very easy to understand for all participants and everyone appreciated it as an important and useful opportunity.
