The 12 visiting students from Michigan had a one-week observational experience at the University Hospital of SUMS from June 17 to 21.
During the week they observed hospital wards, the Surgical Center, the department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and other sections, and they experienced a simulation in a wheelchair.
On June 21, they engaged in group-work and a discussion at the conclusion of their studies at SUMS. They said that they were especially impressed by the observational study at the University Hospital, and they enthusiastically made final presentations to report what they became interested in and what they learned.
Professor P. Lambert from the Japan Center for Michigan Universities gave high praise to the achievements made by each student and appreciated this program as one that should be continued, expressing thanks to SUMS.
